12. Orlando Martell Webster 6-7 235 SG/SF WA HSSr.

13. New Jersey Charlie Villanueva 6-11 240 PF Conn So.

14. Minnesota Channing Frye 6-11 248 C Arizona Sr.

26. Seattle Andray Blatche 7-0 230 PF NY HSSr.

27. *Utah Rudy Fernandez 6-5 180 SG Spain 1985

28. *Miami Monta Ellis 6-2 175 SG MS HSSr.

29. San Antonio Kennedy Winston 6-6 220 SG Ala. Jr.

30. *New York Jarrett Jack 6-3 202 PG Georgia Tech Jr.

------------------------------------------

A few notes:

-To me Martynas is still too high, I would see him going more around 10-15

-I think Gerald Green is a little too low, I think someone in the top 10 will take a chance on him

-While I do think someone will take Villanueva in the 10-15 range, I think he belongs in the 15-20 range

-I think May is about in the right place, nowhere near the top 10

-Jarrett Jack seems low to me, but I have a bias. So does Stoudamire. This gives me good hope that we will get one of jack, garcia, or stoudamire in the 2nd round which would be awesome

Turiaf? Probably because we already have Al and Josh smith who can play the 4. I think we would take Garcia or Stoudamire. Probably Garcia given BK's affinity for long players. We need shooting in the worst way. If we were to get Bogut and Garcia, we would have a young talented core at 4 positions

PG-

SG-Garcia

SF-Childress

PF-Smith

C-Bogut

just from the last 2 drafts. That is outstanding drafting.

We could really use Garcia or Stoudamire.

If we were to get Turiaf, you have a logjam at PF basically.

Ukic will be in the draft from what i have read, i made a post on the draftcity.com message board and some guys from Europe said he would be in the draft, and on the draftcity.com mock he is on there, the nbadraft.net mock isn't that great id look at the one for draftcity.com

Hahaha, I hadn't checked that one out, but it's much better. As a matter of fact, every single comment I made is correct on draftcity. Martynas is lower, Green is higher, Villanueva at 15, May at 18, Jack much higher (at 12).

I would still prefer us taking stoudamire over turiaf in the 2nd though

Guest Walter

He's one of the few players I would trade up for. A draft of Bogut and Ukic would be SWEET! How to make that happen you ask? Trade the future LA pick for the higher of Denver's 2 picks this year (currently 17).

I only do this if Ukic's available.

They may not want two 1st rd picks this year, especially if they can likely improve upon it next year (only top 10 protected with LA being in slight trouble).

After Felton there is a gap of Pgs so I think if Ukic does declare we would have to use a pick that high to get him. Who knows he may perform like he did last year at the camps and improve his stock even further.

Walter i like you...

That is exactly what i have been hoping for Bogut and Ukic, if we could get that i would be extremely excited, from what i have seen and read about Ukic, i honestly think he may end up being the best point guard in this draft

I wonder why NBADRAFT mock has us not picking the power forward from gonzaga with our first pick in the second round?

THE NBADRAFT.NET MOCK IS NOT TEAM SPECIFIC. I.e., they aren't projecting who the Hawks would take. They won't do that until after the draft lottery next month. Right now they are listing the prospects without regard to team needs or desires and are listing the teams in their most likely order of draft position. If the Hawks announced today that they were definitely taking Green with the top pick if they get it, the current form of the nbadraft.net mock would not change but once they make it team specific after the lottery is announced they would move Green up to the Hawks pick.

The draftcity.com mock is also not team specific.

Right before the draft, they had Gordon moving up to #3. They had Livingston and Harris backwards...at 5 and 4, but they still had a pretty good idea of who was going where. I think Deng at #6 for us was a good call. It's what I was expecting.
