All-Rookie voting was all over the place

Who knows what coaches were thinking when they voted...besides the top 4 (howard/okafor/gordon/iggy), the other 6 had many coaches not voting for them AT ALL

7 coaches didn't vote for smoove for either team

12 coaches didn't vote for chill

9 coaches didn't vote for deng

6 coaches didn't vote for krstic

10 coaches didn't vote for nelson

14 coaches didn't vote for jefferson

can u believe that TWELVE of the 29 eligible coaches did NOT vote for chill, even tho he's been top 6 in nba.com rookies all year, has one of the best stat lines and best efficiencies? is this because he's a hawk?

9 didn't vote for deng, but u can explain that by the injury

krstic did best with all but 6 coaches...

(all of these are out of 29 teams because ur own coach can't vote for u)

of course not

but the point is that chill/smoove consistently contributed (and got noticed for that contribution) for 4 months...and their end of season stats reflect that...

anyway, looking at the ones who didn't make it, i think some coaches of teams with someone on the bubble (jr, telfair, nelson, etc) decided to vote for someone they knew wouldn't make it, instead of voting for someone that was competition for their player...so they voted tony allen on first team, or nocioni on first team...

chillz and smoove are both easily better than iggy and gordon. gordon is not impressive at all to me. he plays no defense and just jacks up crap at a terrible pecentage. sure, some nights he is hot, but he usually is not and his overall game sucks.

in a year or two, id probably say smoove will bypass okafor
