Premium Member mrhonline Posted July 1, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 I'm so excited that Drob's option was declined. He's a good guy, but the $ will be better spent elsewhere. Anyways, I figured that I would try to give an update of the Hawks' salary information: 1. Al Harrington $6.9M 2. Marvin Williams $3.9 (an estimate - 5% + Okafor's salary) 3. Tony Delk $3.4M (He might opt out) 4. Josh Childress $2.7M 5. Jason Collier $1.7M 6. Josh Smith $1.4M 7. Boris Diaw $1.1M 8. Salim Stoudamire $0.5M (an estimate) 9. Royal Ivey $0.5M (an estimate; team option?) 10. Donta Smith $05.M (an estimate; team option?) Total: $22.6M ($19.2M if Delk opts out) Assuming Delk stays, the Hawks have upwards of $25-$28M to spend (depending on the cap). I don't think I've EVER seen such a large number of players under contract for so little salary. Kudos to Mr. Knight!
Vafan
Yes, I agree. We are getting more talented while spending nothing on salary. The future is bright.

emeans
I concur. Bk is doing an excellent job. We can finally pick and choose and make other teams sweat to keep their players. We have never been able to do that!!
OGRat
And teams will only have a week to make a decision to match.
