Premium Member Diesel Posted July 31, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 31, 2005 I don't know exactly who but I'm guessing Watson... We will need a defensive BU PG who has some speed when we play against smaller speedier PGs.
KB21
That seems to be the Hawks plan with Tyronn Lue. Lue is a good on the ball defender that will be a good back up for the Hawks if he resigns.
swolehawk2
I think Lue would be just fine....but who would come to us to be a back up on a losing team when you they can be a back up on a winner?
KB21
I wouldn't call the Lakers a winner at this point, and it appears to be between Atlanta and the Lakers.
Admin chillzatl Posted July 31, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted July 31, 2005 a contract has already been agreed upon and should be signed as soon as the NBA allows.
Premium Member Diesel Posted July 31, 2005 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted July 31, 2005 Lue will be a Laker. Hell, he might be a starter with the Lakers...

Admin chillzatl Posted August 1, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted August 1, 2005 there is nothing that can be officially announced. But I have it on good word that this is happening. The word came from him personally actually. Unless L.A. jumped out there with a larger offer and swayed him away, in the last week, it's a done deal. clrumph
If we resign Lue I really like the way our team is being built. JJ, Salim, Marvin, Childress and Lue all shoot very high percentages from the field and the free throw line and that is really going to help us win close games in the 4th quarter. Now if we can sign a couple of big men I will be really, really pleased with our summer!
swolehawk2
Would it be possible to sign Lue.... Za Za ....Stephen Hunter and Reggie Evans? I would be very pleased with this offseason if we could pull this off.
KB21
That guy is a rebounding fool!! He gets more rebounds per minute than any other player in the NBA. He played 23.8 minutes a game and grabbed 9.3 rebounds per game. His per 48 average was a whopping 18.8 rebounds per game, which is first in the NBA. I'd love to bring him in. swolehawk2
We need some toughness inside badly. I don't think Za Za could bring enough individually... combine him with Hunter and or Evans we may be able to survive....I know Collier won't provide anything inside so I am hoping BK has a plan. Final_quest
I've been wondering about Evans myself. We could use him much like Detroit uses Ben Wallace.
Guest Walter
I'm assuming we have to trade Harrington for Curry in which case we need another "undersized" Pf, this one with a different skill set. Who knows, maybe we don't trade Harrington and still land Curry. W
Admin
because they balance out each others skillsets......I cant see Seattle letting him go though unless we overpay, which I cant see us doing.

Of course sometimes when a player gets burned a few times those tend to stick out in my mind. I remember some games Lue got torched by not so good players.
