Lascar78
The Miami Heat , Memphis Grizzlies and Boston Celtics have reached a tentative agreement on a three-team trade according to an NBA source close to the negotiations who spoke with DraftExpress.com’s Jonathan Givony. The Miami Heat will receive Antoine Walker via a sign-and-trade from Boston, as well as Jason Williams and James Posey from the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies will receive Eddie Jones from Miami and Marcus Banks from Boston. The Celtics will receive Earl Watson via a sign-and-trade from Memphis, as well as Dorrell Wright or Miami’s trade exception.
Plainview1981
When did Miami become so giving? Shaq gets 100+ million over the next 5 years, Walkers gets 52 million, and also you got to factor in Haslem and probably Damon Jones. West is starting to look like an idiot. His crush for Eddie Jones isn't understandable.
KB21
What I said Earlier Today I figured Dorrell Wright would be involved in this deal. He didn't appeal himself much to the Heat brass when he contemplated quitting due to a lack of playing time last year.
WraithSentinel
Grizz trying to clear cap room. I heard their owner ask West to do that because they are trying to sell the team.
KB21
The Grizzlies are losing money. Well, at least Heisley is losing money. That's one of the reasons d*ck Versace "resigned" his post as the general manager. The GM job in Memphis was nothing but a token job as it was, so the Grizzlies were planning to eliminate that slot completely. Also, the dumped Rodney Heard, who was their lead scout, before this past season started. Billy Knight quickly brought him in as the Director of Scouting for the Hawks. Plainview1981
When the JJ trade came up I suspected that Watson was no longer an option. Not going to pay him big money as a backup.

I see you're still trying to justify your statement from before about BK.. Well.. Fact is that Jerry West is the GM of the Grizzlies and he welds more power than most GMs. Secondly. Versace did resign but he was the VPOBO.. not the GM.
KB21
Wrong. Jerry West is the Grizzlies Team President, which is what d*ck Versace was when Knight was there. Versace stepped down and became the GM in Memphis when West came on as the President.
cyman3
Miami has some DEPTH! Jason Williams, Damon Jones off the bench? Walker/Posey is a lot better than just EJones And u still have Haslem and the new 1st rounder. not bad man...
KB21
Damon Jones will likely sign with Cleveland.
Packfill
Miami's squad looks good on paper but in reality there are not enough shots to go around and too many people who need the ball in their hands to contribute (Wade, Williams, Walker). Boston seems to be building a nice young team though, with Green and Jefferson as the potential headliners, and intriguing talents in Wright, Allen, West, Perkins, etc.
