Plainview1981
The only thing is the Hawks future doesn't depend on ZaZa. But I guess he has to have one.
thesheedera
Quote: Wouldn't you take a slap in the face for 16 million? Absolutely, I'd take a slap a day for every dollar in the deal. This isn't live breaking coverage, but it'll make the local evening news for a quick bit, and it will be a nice way to welcome a guy who's walking into the complete unknown. If Chillz is right, maybe you will get your groundbreaking press conference.
hotboyj
then yall can be damn sure ZaZa is going to get one. Sure he isn't going to pull us out of the gutter, but he is a big man. Whenever this team can get someone who can play either pg or center it is a big deal. Those are the 2 positions hardest to fill in the NBA, and we're the Hawks. Any person over 6'9" that we get is big news.
pathway23
I think most signings deserve a press conference...come on now. Now Collier is another story. Did he get a press conference? lol, Zaza definitely deserves a presser.
Gray Mule
If Hawks had the opportunity to draft Zaza this year, him being a young center / PF, it would have, in all likelyhood, been a first round pick. Other than the first pick of the draft, which was a center, if Zaza had been in the draft, wouldn't we all be excited about getting him? I would!! Therefore, I look at this as the Hawks just got a first round draft pick this year without drafting him !! We don't really expect the other two draft picks that we did get to be instant starters and instant success stories for us, but this one we really expect more of this coming season. Yet, he is, like the others, a very young player and one we expect to be around for a long time. Like JJ, he wanted to come here and play!! Why wouldn't we hold a press conference to announce this very important signing?
