flava
right now, the most effective lineup the Hawks could put on the floor would be: C Zaza or Collier (whoever is better) PF Harrington SF Childress SG Johnson PG Lue with Smith, Williams and Delk coming off the bench. when we trade Harrington for a real center or PG, you can pencil Smith's name into that spot. when Williams starts to truely develop (in the next few years), someone has to go to the bench (or get traded).... flava
hotboyj
We don't have Lue for sure. Second of all I would rather have Smoove in the game over Lue, b/c of the fact JJ can do everythin Lue can do except he is 8 inches taller. We already don't have enough interior presence, and if we get rid of Smoove we will give up too many layups. I think our best lineup right now is JJ Salim Chillz Al Pachulia(won't even be a contest) Salim will light up the scoreboard, and JJ could do most of the ball-handling. Chillz is a sf, that can play the sg well. Yeah I'm contadicting myself with not havin Smoove, but Salim's offense would out-weigh Smoove's blocking. That line-up isn't likely but it is our best. Despite disappointing alot of fans.
jumpshot
If we keep the current players than the following will start. JJ JC JS AH Zaza
fashoe1
you guys do realize that in april smooth avg. 16points 9.5reb 2assits and 2 blocks, those are the numbers of a very good player. players get 70mill b/c of those numbers
Iman
I see us starting a traditional lineup but often finishing with what is going best, and if it's a close game I see Salim on the floor. Starters: JJ Chillz Smoove Al ZaZa Closers: JJ Salim Smoove Marvin Al By midseason I hope to see that lineup out there alot.

Childress is easily the teams third best player yet he is not good enough to finish a game? You are putting an awful lot of faith in a second round rookie. Plainview1981
Al is best coming off the bench backing up 3/4 like he did in Indy.
NickJYD
Any lineup with Josh Smith coming off the bench is not our best lineup. Mine lineup and I imagine most everyone elses is JJ, JC,JS, AH and Zaza
hotboyj
What I'm saying is we haven't seen Al play major minutes anywhere except sf. We have no clue how a move to PF can affect his game positively of negatively. All I know is back when Jermaine got hurt and Al got to start at pf against Atlanta he put up 40 points on SAR. For all we know the move to pf is what could make AL a 20 and 10 guy and all-star alumni. Can we please just keep the guy, and not have him traded before we see what he can do on a regular basis, in a starter's role, in his NATURAL positon. Plainview1981
If I was going to compare Al to anyone in the NBA it would be Donyell Marshall.... Al produced 17/7 as a starter in 39MPG.... With Indy as a 3rd or 4th option he averaged 12PPG 6.3RPG in 30MPG off the bench. Al Harrington is athletic.... But I don't think he is athletic enough to make up for only being 6'9 at the PF spot. What you seen with Al this is likely to be the best he can do. He had a good year, but his numbers are only slightly less when coming off bench backing up the 3/4 in 30MPG like he did in Indy. It's ashame he will not accept the role that he is the best at.
