Premium Member Diesel Posted August 24, 2005 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted August 24, 2005 I don't know if it were neccessary by choice that he sat. I do know that you are right.. He played in just about all of Dallas' games last year. He was traded for Van Horn, then re-signed by Dallas for the rest of the season. He's definitely a key rebounder. Premium Member Diesel Posted August 24, 2005 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted August 24, 2005 I don't think anybody is talking about him as "the answer". I think he's a good fit for BU C/PF for now.
VDiLetto
Glenn Robinson? LOL.. Ok, lets just name random players and say the Hawks might be after them. I heard we might be after Allen Iverson and Shaquille too. Also we are trying to talk Barkley and Nigue out of retirement. Come on, Glenn Robinson? Sage11
Yea, that is what I said, he is a "band-aid." a temporary cover to help the wound we have in the middle, heal. Hopefully we make more "appropriate" moves to full the void in the middle.
Weez
I'd have to go back and review things~ but he sat out most of his last season here before going to Dallas...but that was an offseason move right? anyone recall what the injury was that was keeping him sidelined at the time? one of his previous injuries, to the eye...hey, I can understand that one. As Diesel posted it, this is not a 'fix,' but rather a viable option and someone who would in many ways add to this team. He would bring experience, age, and fundamentals. Age you ask? well...most young guys signing here would be 'out to prove themselves,' wanting touches and to be involved in the offense. It's why I'm not that big on Curry after the JJ signing; not with our wanting to develop Smoove and Chill...and Marvin. Hendu plays fundamental basketball, doesn't really ask for touches, and plays solid, fundamental basketball.
