He outplayed Bogut in a summer league game so maybe he has potential. At least he is a legitimate 7-footer.

I've seen Edwards play, but I didn't even realize he made an NBA roster.

He is the poster child for underachievers, as I seem to recall that he was even a walk-on at Kent State.

Better than average shot blocker in college. Adequate scorer with his back to the basket. Not athletic, but not a clutz either. Got rebounds in a quantity that a 7'0 should have gotten, so adequate but not outstanding there as well. Edwards was "sneaky good," the kind that you didn't notice his stats until after the game, and you said, "wow, and Edwards didn't do too bad either." Maybe the best thing that could be said of him, at least according to my memory, is that he didn't disappear... he was consistently around the ball, ordinarily doing something good.

Having said all that... I can't imagine that he is even a legitimate long term project. Likely NBDL bound.
